I may be the last person to get my hands on some washi tape. It’s never too late, right?
I ordered 5 rolls from Downtown tape for $2.99 per roll and $2.95 shipping. And it arrived in just 2 days. Now that’s service.
I was thrilled with the quality of the tape and immediately knew it would be perfect to embellish my laptop. I know kind of crazy, but it’s actually functional. Ben and I both have the same laptops so we are always grabbing the wrong one. He’ll never be tempted to grab mine now!
I’m waiting on my second order of Washi Tape from Pick Your Plum. So once that arrives I’ll finish this little makeover. I just couldn’t wait to get started.
If you haven’t heard of Washi tape before it’s just decorative tape. But has the feel of painters tape so you can easily peel it off.
Still not sure about ordering some online. No fears. I found some at Target the other day. They call it smash tape and it’s in the scrapbook aisle. My Target only had 2 rolls so I don’t think they carry the biggest selection of it.

You do realize that there’s even better….real washi out there right? The website you’re buying from is made in China…real washi is from Japan and is levels above! By the way Target has more paper tape (it’s not washi) over in the paperclip aisle.
Yup I realize this, but thanks for pointing it out. But downtowntape.com has fantastic customer service and is totally affordable. I’ve been more than happy with them. And yes that’s exactly where I found the Target tape (I know it’s obviously not real washi tape), but my target only had two rolls left. I was just posting this as an option for readers who aren’t interested in ordering it on-line. Most people have a Target near them.
You listed the Target smash tape. The paper tape I’m talking about is like this… http://www.studiocalico.com/community/studio-chat/topics/44427-washi-tape-at-target
And you make it seem like the other sites don’t have good customer service…they absolutely do and you get quality.
Thanks for linking up. You’re being featured on Wednesday Whatsits!

Thanks so much for the feature Julie!
I’m here from the hop and glad to have found you, I’ve never heard of Washi tape. I used to scrapbook but haven’t in a while or I prob would have run into it. Thanks for the introduction, I’ll have to look for it.

Karen, you must get some. You can put it on anything. And it’s all so beautiful. I’m kind of addicted.
