Have you seen the beautiful West Elm knock-off nutcrackers that Jacque from DIY Village made.
Well mine are not nearly as beautiful as Jacque’s.
And that’s because a bunch of 4 year old’s made these ones.
I picked these little guys up at Dollar Tree.
I removed the beards and hair from the nutcrackers. Then primed them. That took about 10 coats of spray primer. The red was impossible to cover.
Then the kids got to work.
I warned you these ones aren’t nearly as amazing as Jacque’s. But it was a fun craft to do with the kids and they are quite proud of them.

My daughter saw the Nutcracker this year and really wants one. I am done with my shopping, but I might have to hit up the dollar store for this one!

Oh I love these. I of course love the simple one up top, but you know these more personal, more creative ones by your kiddos– nothing compares.
