Three Bears Acres, Creedmoor NC

So have you been yet?

If you’re in the Raleigh, NC area you must pack the kids up and head to Three Bears Acres, now.  Like right now.

It’s unlike any other park/farm we have ever been too.  Kids can get up close and dirty with nature.  They can pick their own seasonal produce in the garden, play in the (I think has to be world’s largest) mud pie kitchen, or fish down by the paddle boat pond.  It’s an old fashion outdoor kind of fun.

Three Bears Acres is located just 15 minutes from 540 & Six Forks Road at 711 Beaver Dam Road, Creedmoor NC 27522.

For the entire month of December Santa can be found at Three Bears Acres.  And it’s the perfect place to get your kids photos taken with Santa.  No line-ups or crazy overpriced mall photos.  And you can spend as much time as you like chatting it up with the big guy.  For us that meant that our youngest talked poor Santa’s ear off, and our oldest wouldn’t go anywhere near him.

A giant blank canvas to create your masterpiece.  And it’s all outside so no worries about making a mess.

The mud kitchen is simply every kids dream.  Real appliances and a giant claw foot tub full of mud.  What more could your little chef need.

Messy seems to be a bit of a theme so come prepared.  Maybe even a change of clothes might be in order.

This water wall was Jack’s favourite.

And Sam wouldn’t get out of this boat.  He couldn’t believe he was in a real boat.

Kids can dig up some seasonal veggies.

And who doesn’t love a giant jumping pillow?

And the 300′ Toboggan Slide was my favourite of the day.  It’s fast enough that even I enjoyed it, but not too steep or crazy that the littlest one can’t also participate.  My 2-year-old was able to go down on his own.  Normally we go to these types of places and my 2-year-old is too young for everything.  Not here.

A little paddle boat fun.

There is also archery, a fire pit where you can purchase and make your own s’mores ($3 for 2), a straw maze, art table and more.  We just didn’t have enough time to make it to everything.  You could spend all day here.

I also want to point out how amazing the staff were.  So genuine and caring.  They truly want you to have an unforgetable experience.

Now since I’ve convinced you that a trip to Three Bears Acres is in your future, lets discuss cost.

Children $18 (kids 2 and under are free) & Adults $10.  I know this sounds like a lot especially if you have 2 or 3 kids.

But here are a couple of ways to get in for less.

1. Get a membership it will pay for itself after just 3 visits.  Adults $30 and Kids $57.  And you can go check the place out pay regular admission and if you decide you want a membership they will let you upgrade to a yearly membership on your way out and will deduct that’s day admission from the membership price.  That’s what we did today.  {perks of the membership: you get 2 guest passes with it, we only bought one adult membership but my husband can use it as the alternate adult if he takes the kids on the weekends, for the kids membership they get a free t-shirt on their birthday month}.

2.  If you go after 2pm the price drops to $7 for adults and $13 for kids.

3.  Go on a Thursday where kids age 3-5 get in for just $10 and parents are free.  Great way to check the place out.

4.  Or go as a group.  Groups of 10 or more,  adults are $13 and kids $7.

So have I convinced you, will you check it out?  You won’t be disappointed.
