Butterfly Garland using my Silhouette Cameo

pretty-laundry-room-makeoverMy pretty paper butterfly garland makes the dozen or so loads of laundry I do each week just a little bit more pleasant. OK that’s a lie, I still hate laundry.

pretty-paper-butterfly-garlandIf you are lucky enough to have a Silhouette then this is how I made it. If you don’t have a Silhouette you can always buy a butterfly scrapbook punch at any craft store.

butterfly-garland-silhouette-cameoI purchased this super sweet template from the Silhouette online store for $0.99. And began to cut.

silhouette-cameo-butterflyIt cuts 8 at once so it goes pretty quickly.

paper-butterfly-garlandSince I didn’t have any double-sided scrapbook paper I had to glue 2 butterflies together. Nothing a little Modge Podge couldn’t handle.

Then I put a small amount of glue along the middle of a butterfly and placed it on some twine with another butterfly on the other side. I let it dry overnight and then flared them out to give them some dimension.

If you don’t have a Silhouette Cameo you could also buy a scrapbook butterfly paper punch (or any other shape.)
