Winter Blues Flowers

Silhouette-cameo-paper-flowersI shouldn’t complain. Winter in North Carolina isn’t even winter.

I’m Canadian I remember Spring flowers not popping up through the ground until May.

But I still miss having fresh-cut flowers for the 10 weeks or so of North Carolina winter.

So I pulled out my Silhouette Cameo and cut out these flowers using some scrapbook paper. And used some leftover craft wire for the stems.

If you own a Silhouette and want to make your own. Just go to the online store and search ‘3D flowers’. Pick out your favourites and start cutting. They are super easy to make.

The vintage bottles came with my flea market Pepsi Crate that I turned into craft storage for my kids.

  1. I’m not sure which I love most, the flowers or the fact that you put them in an old Sundrop bottle! (I’m a Carolina girl in my heart ;)

(I dropped by from Wed. Whatsits)

  2. They are really good. It’s one of the nice memories I have as a child is making flowers – especially for Mothers’ Day.
    Thanks for sharing.

  3. I love these flowers – I’m so jealous of everyone with a Silhouette! Super cute idea :) Thanks for linking up to the weekly creative!
