Potted Succulents

I dragged my kids to Lowe’s to pick up a few more bags of sand for their sandbox. And by a few more I mean another 500 lbs of sand. Normally that kind of errand with the boys would be a total nightmare. But look what I found – succulents on clearance. Makes all the screaming, complaining, and fighting by the kids worth it.

how-to-grow-succulentsSo of course I picked up a few potted succulents.

OK I bought a lot. Like so many I have no where to put them now. I have a problem. And my problem always involves the word clearance.

But I did manage to find a new home for one plant in a little beaker I picked up for $0.25 last time I was at The Scrap Exchange in Durham.

Still need to hang that #19 sign that I picked up at the Raleigh Flea Market a couple of weeks ago. I think it belonged to a calendar that came out of a bank. Maybe that’s not true at all, I don’t know. My husband thinks it’s weird, that much I do know.

You can check out my other coffee jar succulent planter here.

  1. Hey Danielle! Thanks for linking up for the Grow Your Blog Hop. I’m having fun cohosting today! I have two little boys too.

  2. Love it! I found a few succulents on clearance here, too–not sure they will survive, as they only get direct sun for a couple of hours–but I love yours in a beaker! I have a bunch of scientific glassware I need to find a use for!
