Flea Market Hunting with Kids

A perfect Fall weekend has to include a trip to the flea market.

We spent the morning at the Raleigh State Flea Market. Not really looking for anything in particular. That’s the kind of shopping I like.

This guy had a few Canada Dry crates that I’ve been looking for but they were way too expensive, and he wouldn’t budge on his price. Bummer.vintage quilts Flea Market Hunting with Kids

Anyone else have this doll house as a kid? It was my favourite toy. I tried to buy it but my boys were far more interested in the toy cars.flea market Flea Market Hunting with Kids

Every time we go the boys each get $2 to spend on a little something for themselves. We came away with a transformer and a dinosaur. They were happy campers.

So what are the best thrifting places in your area?

    • Natalie, it’s at the Raleigh, NC State Fair Grounds. It’s every Sat and Sun (except for the weeks when the state fair is on). It’s a bit of a mix of stuff, but I always find lots of booths that I like.
