DIY Wall Decals

diy-wall-decals.jpgDIY-Wall-stickers.jpgI’m really loving all the vinyl wall decals I’ve been seeing everywhere. I was thinking of doing either dots and triangles (I’ve been seeing those everywhere), but didn’t think my 5 year-old would think those were very cool. Instead I combined his love of Star Wars and Lego and made my own custom decals.

star-wars-vinyl-decal.jpgI found these Lego Star Wars stencils from I Am Momma- Hear Me Roar. Uploaded them to my Silhouette Cameo, used the trace function, and copied them as many times as I could fit on my 12 x 24 mat.

And cut them out using contact paper.silhouette-vinyl-decal.jpgI painted the whole sheet with three coats of latex paint.urban-wall-decals.jpgPeel them off and stick to the wall.lego-boys-bedroom.jpg

  1. Would there be another way to do this without a silhouette machine? What do you mean when you say you used a mat?

    • Hi Jori I think a cricut machine would work too. But other than cutting them out by hand (which would be kind of crazy) I can’t think of another way to cut them all out. And the mat is a Silhouette Mat that you use to put through the machine.
